When the Owners bought this charming Beverly Hills home they inherited major structural issues necessitating the removal and replacement of the entire 2-story bedroom wing. However, this allowed them to update these areas while benefi ting from new space for a walk-out basement.

The rest of the house was stripped to the studs and remodeled. The design intent was to utilize much of the original architecture while creating comfortable formal and cozy informal spaces for the family. Architect Marsha Scully’s design was infl uenced by a style similar to a Connecticut Farm House. She also added a guest house with pool cabana along with a new pool and landscaping.

The home was the selected feature of the August 2006 edition of “California Home + Design” Magazine.
